Scholarship

In addition to my applied work, I’ve had the great pleasure of doing research. Most recently, my colleague, Ahmmad Brown, and I investigated how organizational leaders understand the exclusion of disabled people in their organization, along the lines of structural, social and symbolic exclusion. We found that leaders were largely aware of structural exclusion, even though it still existed, somewhat aware of social exclusion and not at all aware of symbolic exclusion.
