Hi! I’m Anna.
I’m a disability doula, facilitator, maker and coach.
I’ve been disabled since I was a teen and have played the community role of educator, disability doula and coach many times before I even knew that’s what these roles could be called. I was the friend who would take you to the emergency room, the Resident Advisor (RA) who would help you figure out a new medical diet and the neighbor who would help you make your home more accessible. I am still all of those people (except the RA, thank goodness. ResLife is exhausting!) but since then have had the opportunity to learn and develop more. I have my Master’s in Learning and Organizational Change and Certificate in Organizational and Leadership Coaching from Northwestern University and am a Board Certified Coach.
I have always loved doing a lot of things at once, and my work at Woven Experience is no different! Right now that means:
I work with clients one on one as a disability doula and transition coach – supporting them through new or worsening disability or across major life transitions.
I lead group classes for disabled folks and people who love them to learn about how to meaningfully integrate disability into their lives in community with other people having similar experiences.
I consult with organizations to make them more accessible to disabled employees and/or customers.
I do research about disability in organizations, which informs my consulting and facilitation offerings.
I’m working on a few children’s books that center disabled characters.
I facilitate group learning opportunities for organizations about disability and accessibility.
I cohost seasonal rituals for chronically ill and disabled folks with the brilliant Lorraine Boissoneault. We also wrote a zine so you can do them at home!
This list is always changing and growing to meet the needs I’m seeing for disabled people and those who love them.
Outside of my work at Woven Experience, I am also a swim coach, Girl Scout Troop Leader, and am working towards a lifelong goal of being able to build a home and make everything in it with the help of my community. I live outside of Seattle, WA with my partner and our two dogs including my service dog, Luna.
If you want to connect more on any of these things and don’t see what you’re looking for on my site, feel free to schedule a free 30 minute call.
I can't wait to meet and learn more about you!
