Hi! I’m Anna.

I’m a maker, facilitator and coach.

Change is the only constant in life. Although sometimes we choose to change, often changes are thrust upon us and we are asked to adapt around them. I am a transition coach — my aim is to move alongside people experiencing change to bolster their ability to understand and act on their needs, deepen their creative practice, and create a balanced life they actively choose. In particular, my coaching practice best supports people who are experiencing a life-altering change like the loss of a loved one, new disability, newfound security or safety, illness of a loved one, becoming a caregiver or becoming a parent. In general, I love working with people who are working to integrate new identities with old ones to live as their authentic selves in all areas of their lives.

As someone with multiple chronic illnesses, I have been deeply impacted by symptoms since 2011, but my symptoms got a lot worse after one of my best friends died in 2017. Suddenly, everything about my life shifted and I was struggling to meet my needs and show up for my commitments. After the initial grief where I was allowed to let things drop, I had to figure out how to integrate grief and disability into my life in the long term. Largely through the support of other disabled and grieving folks, I have been able to build an interdependent, creative, joyful life alongside disability and grief. Since then, I have been called to offer the same kind of support. I have been sought as a trusted advisor in times of tumult from folks in my community and beyond.

In order to move through these changes, my coaching practice supports the development of a creative practice as an opportunity to find joy, growth and reflection within ourselves. Having tools to look inward and be with ourselves allows us an opportunity to find solace in and build relationship with ourselves as a foundation for how we want to be in relationships in the wider world. A creative practice can be as simple as writing a sentence every day or as deep and complex as creating a collection of paintings. You do not need to identify as an artist or a creative in order to do this!

In addition to my work at Woven Experience Coaching and Consulting, I am an organizational strategy professional at an educational research organization where I focus on creating and supporting team strategy. I have my Master’s in Learning and Organizational Change and Certificate in Organizational and Leadership Coaching from Northwestern University and am a Board Certified Coach. I love to swim and be on/near/by water as much as I can. I'm also an avid sewist, quilter, knitter and general maker. I'm working towards a lifelong goal of being able to build a home and make everything in it with the help of my community. I live outside of Seattle, WA with my partner and our two dogs. Luna, who's pictured on the right, is my service dog!

I can't wait to meet and learn more about you!
