Showing up for your newly disabled loved one

If you love someone who’s newly disabled, you probably have a lot of questions. How can you show up best for your loved one? What do you need to know? This is a class for people who love disabled people, but aren’t quite sure how to engage with disability. In this class, participants will learn about ableism, barriers disabled people face, access needs, and asking more loving questions in a collaborative, discussion-based, hands-on course.

This class centers people who have very little exposure to disability and the disabled community, and will still be valuable if you have some understanding of disability. This class and Woven Experience also centers the belief that disability is a positive part of someone's identity, which may challenge some beliefs you've held before. That kind of learning is invited in this space.

Cost: This class is offered on a sliding scale of price. The actual cost of the class is $50, but you are able to pay $25-$75. Paying what you are able to, especially on the higher end of the scale, helps me to be able to provide price-accessible programming. If you have questions about this, please send me an email!

Timing: This class is offered synchronously, you can see when the next one is being offered by clicking on the sign up button!

Annalog Coaching

I love to write letters. There’s something so powerful about what comes out when you sit down to write with a pen and paper, and who doesn’t love to receive mail?! With Annalog Coaching, you send me a letter with something you’re currently struggling with and what kind of support would be helpful. Although I am not going to send you advice (this very much is not Dear Anna), I will send you some encouragement, some questions to consider your challenge from different perspectives and, if applicable, a suggestion for an activity you can do to support moving through your challenge.

The first letter you send is free, and after that each additional letter is $25. Participating in Annalog Coaching might be for you if:

  • You aren’t quite ready to talk about your transition or challenge face to face on Zoom, but you would like some additional support in moving through it.

  • You love to send and receive snail mail!

  • Writing things down and seeing them physically helps you work through things.

If you send a letter, it could be the start of a coaching relationship, we can continue Annalog Coaching or it might just be one letter one time! If you’re interested you can send letters to:
